How to train your dragon

How to train your dragon (Dream works) released in 2010 directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois tells a fantastic tale of a viking teenager from a dragon slaying tribe befriending his natural enemy.

I really enjoyed this film, the story was well written and the main characters were very likeable from the moment you saw them, especially the dragon. The development of the story was paced nicely, it allows the audience to enjoy the bond of the teeanger and dragon growing stronger gradually. The bond between Hiccup (boy) and Toothless (dragon) is the main reason why this film is so interesting to watch, the progress of their friendship is one that will make every child who watched this film want a dragon. Every scene is packed with little comedy that will keep you laughing and smiling all the way through. The romance between Hiccup and Astrid is also fun to watch, the awkward chemistry in the air is portrayed very nicely. The flying scene with Hiccup, Toothless and Astrid is like a modern day equivilent to Aladdin and Princess Jasmine on the flying carpet.

The epic battle scene at the end with the fantatic battles a visual display will keep you on the edge of your seat, especially when you think Hiccup died and although its cliche, the happily ever after ending scene just makes you walk out of the cinmea smiling.

Definitely worth watching and especially if you want something to cheer you up.
